I am GRATEFUL to watch the beautiful snow falling

Gratitude Journal Entry #30

It started snowing last night while we were out at Sizzler eating out and snowed a little throughout the night and then has been snowing all morning. I love watching the snow fall!

I am GRATEFUL for my baby starting to smile:)

Gratitude Journal Entry #29

I couldn't snap the shot fast enough, so this will have to do, he was giving me BIG smiles last night which was soooo cute! I love it when my babies start to smile and it's always around two months old when they start doing that, I just love it! My kids make fun of me because it makes me teary eyed every time he smiles at me.

I am GRATEFUL for movie night....I think?

Gratitude Journal Entry #28

Friday night we had Pizza and a movie night. We decided to watch something from our childhood....I am now thinking I will ALWAYS preview something that we watched as a kid. We watched Clash of the Titans, It had a MAJOR full on Boob scene in it, she was nursing but did she have to with no clothes on at all!! This isn't National Geographic! I would always see that movie when it was on TV so of course I wouldn't remember that part because they wouldn't put it on the TV version!! Now I just hope my boys and girls aren't scarred for life and of course we couldn't turn it off fast enough!! I would not see today's version of that movie which is about to come out in theatre's soon. So we had great intentions at first of spending the evening together as a family and of course it had to be ruined by a scene like that.

I am GRATEFUL for Organization!!

Gratitude Journal Entry #27

Our Relief Society has Really motivated me to get organized! Thanks Relief Society! My closet was a big mess and you couldn't find anything in it, so I spent ALL DAY and I am not kidding it took until 8:00 last night to go through everything. I started in the garage organizing my food storage and my shelves that had bins full of clothes etc. and then I takled the dreaded closet under the stairs, it's huge and full of junk that could be organized, so I decided that it will be better used for more food storage. Then I takled my bedroom closet and organized the birthday gifts for my kids to take for birthday parties and put them in labled boxes and all my scrapbooking stuff in drawers and picture books on the top shelf, so now I feel organized and I have stuff to donate for next week when we have our Relief Society swap night, I am excited!!

He is still a little guy I have never had such a small little boy before, but he his getting longer so he might take after my dad's side of the family, long and lean, I wish I took after my dad's side I would have love to have been taller! This is my baby's famous lip action, we crack up when he does this!

I am GRATEFUL for my Handsome Baby Boy!

Gratitude Journal Entry # 25

Isn't he cute in his Church outfit? Church was loads of fun today, in Sacrament meeting JR started crying during the sacrament so I took him out then EB was being fussy and Candi took him out and then while we were all standing in the foyer Sister Crawford brought the baby out because he was being fussy! Oh the joys of three boys little and right in a row! Ask me If I am going to survive?

I am GRATEFUL for a great night out with my Honey!

Gratitude Journal Entry #24

We went to Cheesecake Factory, the mall and grocery shopping at Fredmeyers, Can't beat that! It was a fun night and I just LOVE going out with my honey, he's my best friend!

I am GRATEFUL for great deals!

Gratitude Journal Entry #23

On Satruday for part of our date night, we went to the mall and was just going to look at the Disney store because they are going out of buisness here in our mall so they were clearancing out a lot of stuff! I got smart and asked one of the ladies working there were all the great finds were and she took the time and walked around the store showing me all the great deals! It was sooooo helpful, I found Power Ranger Stuff that was normally priced at $14.50 and got it for $1.49, I got Hannah Montana Wigs (which my girls love these wigs by the way, too fun) they were normally $13.00 and got them for $2.49, I found Lightening Mcqueen notebooks with stickers for $1.49, Princess tumblers for $1.99, and then I went into Bannana Republic (my favorite store in the Whole World) and found Leather dress shoes for normally $80.00 and I got them for $14.00! It was a fun night and now I have my year supply of birthday gifts for my kids when they go to birthday parties, I was also thinking that since Violet gets a friend birthday party this year I bought enough Hannah Montana wigs for all the girls at her party, too fun!

I am GRATEFUL for good help with the boys!

Gratitude Journal Entry #22

Violet and Shell are such good helpers with the two little boys! They make them waffles, PB & J sandwiches you name it they help and I am so grateful for their help. One day because they were helping all day long without being asked, daddy and I decided that they deserved a special treat so we took them out to lunch and let them have what ever they wanted, it was super fun for them and it made them feel special that they got to go do that. Thank you girls for all you do daddy and I love and appreciate you!

I am GRATEFUL for a clean House!

Gratitude Journal Entry #21

I spent all day yesterday Cleaning dishes, moping, cleaning windows, dusting, sweeping, wiping down couches ect. because I haven't cleaned like that in two months! I know gross! The baby makes it hard to do anything like that, I even had to get out the baby carrier and attach him to me to get all those things done, boy that was a work out! Then when the kids came home they got juice spilled on the floor ect. oh well, it was nice while it lasted (which was not very long).

I am GRATEFUL that they are better friends.

Gratitude Journal Entry #20

Lately they have been trying harder to get along. For a while it made me sad because when they were little they were great friends and before we moved they even shared a room together and were good friends, but ever since we have lived here they haven't gotten along as much, so I am glad that they are now trying. I have always told them ever since they were little that friends will come and go but brother and sister you will always be.

I am GRATEFUL for my helpful boy!

Gratitude Journal Entry #19

Yesterday I was doing laundry and without being asked, EB saw that I was doing laundry and decided to bring his and JR's laundry down for me. He carried the basket full of clothes all the way down the stairs by himself, I didn't know he could do that! I guess that will be his new responsibility to make him feel helpful. Thanks my sweet EB Boy!

I am GRATEFUL for Relief Society!

Gratitude Journal Entry #17

Next Month our relief society for enrichment they are having a provident living night! We are doing a clothing swap and you can also donate anything in your house decorations etc. and I think it's a great Idea! If you have clothes that you are sick of or don't want anymore you can bring it that night and swap it for new clothes and then anything that didn't get taken and you don't want back they are donating it to DI, it's a win win deal! I bought a new car seat to fit on my stroller so i don't need this one, it's missing the hood but it has a detachable base, I am planning on bringing this to the provident living night but if anyone wants first dibs on it let me know!

I am GRATEFUL for this months Ensign

Gratitude Journal Entry #15

One of my resolutions this year is to be better at reading the Ensign, it seems like I get it and I end up only reading the Visiting Teaching message. I have been reading a little everyday and I am really loving how they have reorganized the Ensign, it's really neat. My favorite article so far is By Jeffery R. Holland "The Best is Yet to be." That is a great article and it's funny because Sloane and I were just talking about the story of Lot and his wife in Sodom and Gomorrah so it's funny that it talks about that story in this article. I also love how they have put the visiting teaching message right behind the First Presidency's message. It's wonderful and I have really enjoyed this magazine, it feels like they have raised the bar!
I love this quote by Neal A. Maxwell:
"One's life cannot be both faith-filled and stress-free, Therefore, how can you and I really expect to glide naively through life, as if to say, "Lord, give me experience, but not grief, not sorrow, not pain, not oppostition, not betrayal, and certainly not to be forsaken. Keep from me , Lord, all those experiences which made Thee what Thou Art! Then let me come and dwell with Thee and fully share Thy joy"
That made me feel different about the trials in my life.

I am GRATEFUL for all the Boys and their NOISE!!

Gratitude Jounal Entry #14

I really do love their noise, they are just too fun to listen too! Right now I am listening to them play with their train set and singing "I am a Child of God" and I am loving it! Boys are different that's for sure but too fun, I love it when I find gun darts in my shoes and in some of my house decorations, it makes me laugh when I find them in different places, I am always sitting on one or stepping on one! Yes, I even have a baby who loves to chime in and cry in the back ground, He's a fussy baby, even when he's being held poor thing! Yes, boys and their Noise gotta love it! Don't you just love their hats?

I am GRATEFUL for listening to the spirit!

Gratitude Journal Entry #13

On Friday started having some health issues (Galstones) and my husband was out of town and I was worried, so I prayed and in my prayer I said that I would be willing to do anything that he wanted me to do but to just to guide me. So than I was also worried about taking care of the kids and feeling horrible and Sloane being gone. So than then next day my friend Gale showed up at my door and she was reading to me out of some of her natural health books and one thing jumped out at me and that was to go on this cleanse and so I did and than last night I was in a lot of pain and was in tears and prayed again and Dr. Trites name stood out to me and he was able to get me in last night and said that everything was fine with my galbladder that it was inflamed but not blocked (which could be life threatening) and that I did the right thing by going on the cleanse right away. It was just a little conformation to me that when you stay close to your Heavenly Father and follow every little prompting than you will be blessed! I felt immediate pain relief after I went to Dr. Trites and that was a huge blessing!

I am GRATEFUL for a Growing Baby!!

Gratitude Journal Entry#12

We went to our six week appointment today and our little Peanut is 10lbs. and 25in. Long! We are so happy that he's growing so good. He is such a joy and he is loved by the whole family, it's amazing even with all these kids how sweet the kids are with him and how they have to give him a kiss whenever they walk by him. We love you our sweet little one.

I am GRATEFUL for Determination!

Gratitude Journal Entry #11

Dash got a Rip stick for Christmas he was excited and then when he tried it the excitement faded, it is a hard thing to ride, Sloane even tried it and fell off!! He found out that the neighbor kid got one also so together they were determined to learn how to ride it. They watched the video on it (yes it's that hard that it came with a video) and later that same day they were able to atleast stay on it for a few seconds and now he can ride it really well. A little history on Dash, see he gives up a lot if things that are hard to learn or figure out, that's why he never was into legos or any thing like that, so it's so wonderful that he was determined and it has payed off, congratulations Dash!

I am GRATEFUL for Great Talks!!

Gratitude Journal Entry #10

The Hornings spoke in church today and it was on Adversity and it was terrific, I Needed that Talk so Badly!! I have had a hard and trying weekend with Sloane being gone, he comes back tonight! However I have been very blessed at the same time, it's just like with the pioneers, when they were going through hard times however they were very blessed at the same time, that lesson is in this months Ensign by Elder Uchtdorf and it is such a great first Pres. Message, it feels like the past eleven months have been a test and a trial for me. What was also amazing (and it felt as if My Heavenly Father was speaking to me) was that the lessons following these great talks were right in line with the great talks, Gospel Doctrine class was on the plan of salavation specifically satan's plan v.s. Heavenly Fathers plan and then Relief Society was on Heavenly Father More specifically his love for us. Thanks Guys you were truly inspired!!
I am also grateful for Dash remembering his talk in Primary before primary (although he did forget to tell his mom that he even had a talk to give) and he wrote his talk all by himself. Great Job Dash!

I am GRATEFUL for Great Friends and a Great Home Teacher

Gratitude Journal Entry #9

I have two things to be grateful for today! My galbladder started acting up last night and I was miserable so my Good Friend Gale came to my rescue today and brought over her books of information and she even brought over lunch for us and she went to the store and brought me some stuff to help and she held the baby and fed the baby but best of all she just showed up on my front porch this morning and didn't leave until four. She is wonderful and I love you gale, thanks for being such a good friend.
Ok so while Gale was at the store getting me some stuff, I decided to do the dishes and while doing the dishes I tried to use the garbage disposal and it wasn't working, so I looked underneath the sink and notice it was leaking and I am thinking Oh NO, it was clogged! So I had the feeling to call my home teacher Brother Fleck and he came over right away and knew just what to do and he was only here for 20min. and had it fixed, it was amazing, he was amazing! I feel so blessed!!!!:)

I am GRATEFUL for happy children

Gratitude Journal Entry #8

Candi has lots of friends at school but has had a hard time connecting with a girl at church and now she's happy because she likes hanging out with AV (I am keeping her identity secure also) she's a very nice girl and they have lots of fun together!
Candi is also excited because she has found a series that she loves to read (she will read just about anything because she loves it so much) she is on the 7th Work and the Glory book, they are big but she has flown through them (did I also mention that she's a really fast reader too)

I am GRATEFUL for my visitng Teachers!

Gratitude Journal Entry #7

These two ladies are amazing and I love them so much! If there was ever an inspired match it was with these ladies, the relief society presidency was inspired to match me with these lovely ladies. Every time they come and I have some issue like potty training or anything one or both are going through the same stuff and we can relate and it is so great and when they leave I feel uplifted!! Isn't that what the visiting teaching program is for, so wonderful...Thank you Cheryl and Pam!

I am GRATEFUL for my Dula Kim!

Gratitude Journal Entry #6

My dula came to do a follow up visit and she even brought me a gift, she made a baby sling and it's really neat, I never thought about making one yourself! She is an amazing lady and I am sooooo grateful that she was there for my birth with both JR and our Little Peanut. She helped me when I didn't think I could get through the pain of birthing and she's a very caring person. Thanks Kim!

I am GRATEFUL for a better night Sleep

Gratitude Journal Entry #5

I am trying to be positive since I am not able to get a nap in today. I am so grateful that the new formula is working for our little guy, he has been miserable since birth because of all of his allergies. I couldn't nurse very well because he was so gassy and he would bite me! I am also grateful that I am bottle feeding because I can hand him off and get things done, sanity saver if you ask me! EB just loves his new baby brother, he's always kissing his head and checking on him.

I am GRATEFUL for Baby Blessings

Gratitude Journal Entry #3

First I am grateful for a worthy husband who honors his priesthood. Baby blessings are so neat and I wish I would have written down the things that stuck out in my mind about each of my kids but I do remember JR's and today with Peanuts blessing. With Junior, I didn't really want to name any of my boys Junior however I finally let Sloane have his wish, and then while we were blessing Junior the spirit struck me so hard and I felt that his name was in fact supposed to be Junior and that was a neat experience for me and then today with the babies blessing, when Sloane talked about him taking a worthy young lady to the temple I actually could picture it and the spirit struck me again, I really wish I would have written down the things that stuck out to me with my older children.
These are our good friends that are like family the Ferris's we love you guys! We had a dinner at their house later in the day and played some games (Ticket To Ride, we LOVE that game!) It was a great day!
