Happy New Year!!

Happy New year everyone! I love the new year, it's a time of reflection and a time to make new goals and to take a self check and decide what you want to change. I have many goals in mind...Getting in shape (of course everyone decides that) and to work on my relationship with my Heavenly Father and Children...read personal scriptures etc., Read more to kids (I slacked on that when I was pregnant and I miss reading to my kids at night, so I want to get back into that) the movie Blind Side made me really miss reading to my kids and the joy of a good book (besides, I secretly love children's literature more than grown up books, shhh don't tell!:) I am also going to have to get really creative on my budget this year....3yr old in Pull ups he refuses to do #2 in the toilet ughhhhh! NO bribe has worked and EVERYONE even grandma has even tried (Stubborn kid) So mom is going to have to get smart and put real underwear on him because he has #1 down really good and make him (with my help of course) clean his own underwear when he decides to do #2 in his UNDERWEAR!!-So that's one expense, then I have a 2yr old in diapers and a newborn in diapers and....I have quite breastfeeding due to masstitis three times in the first two weeks of my babies life, NOT fun! So I decided to save my sanity and just bottle feed, HOWEVER....he's another allergy boy so of course we are using the most expensive formula on the market...MY WORD (as Shirley Temple would say). Grand total: A wopping $175 extra a month!! Oh, the joys! I reflect on my family and how much fun we have had just being together this holiday season without extended family around or anything. I LOVE BEING a MOM it's too much fun and I especially enjoy it better when I am NOT pregnant. I love my kids and how they don't have to have friends all the time around them, they enjoy each other and being together and of course there are times they don't get along however we are blessed that they enjoy being together, I love to watch them make forts together, create plays and musicals and preform them for us, bake together, watch movies together, play games together( on sunday they were really quiet which is rare for my kids and they were upstairs in Candy's room playing a game that she made up together, it was so touching to see that), Going sledding together, going to Costco together, Etc...and my Husband is the BEST dad in the world, I love working side by side with him conquering everything in life together, he's a dream! I have to make a special statement about my precious husband, I am so greatful for him, I have not had postpardom at all this time and I know it's because I have had the help of my helpmate to thank for that, he's been sharing the load of helping me get up at night with the baby taking turns with the baby and sharing the burden of sleep deprivation which he's never really done before, and I am so greatful that he's willing to do that, he's wonderful and no words can express how much that touches my heart, thanks honey!
Ok the only sad part of leaving next year behind is letting go of the fact that Christmas is over...I loved Christmas this year, being with family, doing traditions and it being so laid back and wonderful and the decorations, oh I have loved it all this year it will be sad to take it all down! I added more decorations this year thinking I will need more cheer since I usually have postpardom, I will add pictures of all the decorations next post...when my house is a little cleaner:). Hope everyone has a great and memorable and joyful New Year!

My Favorite Christmas Eve Tradition!

I love this Tradition, it really invites the spirit in the home and gives each of us a special holiday feeling. We buy and new Christmas book every year and then read it on Christmas eve, this year was a good one, because it was about a family way, way back when a Dollar was a lot and then whole family picked names and thought of special things from the heart to buy or make for the person they drew names for and it was a very touching book, the kids love it and it set the tone for the kids to open their gifts for each other.

Our Cute Christmas present!

While we started the Christmas Eve Traditions, our little Peanut slept soundly and peacfully, he's just too cute!

Christmas Eve Traditions!!

Every year the kids earn money to buy each others gifts for Christmas! We let them open their gifts to each other on Christmas Eve then that way it's more special. Jr decided to throw a two year old fit during it, it was loads of fun listening to him!

Christmas Eve Traditions!!

On Christmas Eve every year we either play games or watch movies, this year Sloane decided to do something fun by getting his projector screen and projector and LOUD speakers that he uses for work and make a movie theatre in the family room and the kids loved it!!

I love the kids' very own made up tradition!!

A couple of years ago Candy my oldest made up this tradition of everyone sleeping in her room on Christmas Eve and they all love it and look forward to it. It's great for us because she keeps them all in her room so then it makes it easier for Santa to Come!;)

We Feel Loved!!

On Christmas Eve we had six to eight people stop by to give us a plate of goodies or a card, thank you all so much that made us feel so loved! I also love getting cards and this year we got the most cards we have ever recieved, it was too much fun!! I tape the cards to my fireplace mantle and it usually goes around half way with cards and this year it went all the way around!!

Angel's of Mercy

These two gals came to my rescue and came out of their own free will to help us after we had the baby...I will ever be greatful for their generousity to come and help me so that I could rest, heal, and they cleaned, took care of the kids, changed diapers, gave baths, did I say changed diapers? They changed a lot of diapers that week that they were here, JR was teething so he was fillin' them up a lot for them!! Thank you both I can never express how much I was touched by your kindness. My mom, who missed work and things at home to come take care of me and clean and help out thank you mom you are the best mom in the world!! Hailey, an almost fifteen year old, missed school (which means she had a lot of homework to catch up on, huge sacrifice) to come and be woken up by a three year old and two year old at the crack of dawn everyday and changed lots of diapers and helped out, a big thank you, you touched my heart!:)

Finished product...

Snow!!

The boys loved the snow when it snowed a few weeks ago, Hailey was nice enough to take them out in the freezing cold so that they could play in it.

Liquid GOLD!!

I got the BEST night sleep last night!! This is for Colic and Gas and Hiccups and Teething. It's all natural with Herbs-Ginger Extract and Fennel Extract.I have tried all the natural homeopathic ect. stuff out there for colic and NONE of them have ever worked! I HIGHLY recommend this stuff to any mother who is only getting cat naps at night, ughhhh! After I gave it to my baby, he settled down right away after taking it!! I got it as a sample from my midwife and now I am on the hunt to find a store that carries it. You can look it up online and buy it online at WWW.babysbliss.com Ok....I just Found it and it is at Walgreens I guess they just started selling it at all Walgreens across the nation in the baby isle.
