Our fun baby is Seven Months Old!

He is to much fun we all fight over him and love him so much! He is such a cuddly baby and we love watching him try to crawl and try to sit up and make cute funny faces!

Fun in the Sun and my great Goodwill find!

We started putting up the pool on Friday and finished Saturday night with a little upset that the filter was on the wrong side and the pool was already halfway full we had to empty it all and start all over!! But our hard work paid off and the kids had fun emptying it and then refilling it and then on Monday it was 98 degrees so we as a family got to enjoy it on a nice hot sunny day!
On Saturday night while we were on our date I had Dan drop me and Gale off at Goodwill because I had something in mind for a towel rack and my find was even better then I thought, it was so great, I brought it home and spray painted it black and voila it's a cool towel rack and I love it!!

Our Faulty BBQer

The other day we went to BBQ and Sloane came in the house and said to come look! He said he went to turn the nob down after letting it warm up and the handle melted right before his very eyes, so he decided before it blew up on him he would unhook everything and call it a day! We went to Wendy's instead. Crazy!!

Making a few changes

We decided to close down shop at Sloane's other office in Nampa so he is moving back in the house, so we moved the TV room into our room and his office into the TV room (which is really an office we just made it into a TV room) and I like it much better. The boys can watch TV while I take a nap and all there toys are upstairs, YAY! Amazingly our couch fit perfectly at the end of our bed! I just notice that apparently I took the picture of the TV at the perfect time showing the rear ends of cats, the Aristocats movie.

Tired himself out

What's too funny is I have a picture of all my children so far of them asleep in there bouncy chair all the way back to my oldest! It just goes to show you that they are true children of my husband with lots of energy and they play so hard that they wear themselves out! I love that I have a picture of each one of my kids doing this very same thing! Yes, I put him in his bed but I just had to take a picture first:)

Happy 13th Birthday Our Hawaiian Princess!!

How rare is that you get to share your day with your dad for Father's Day? I am so grateful for this sweet girl of ours! When I was pregnant with her I had the rare opportunity to go with a good friend to get her patriarchal blessing and as we were leaving the patriarchs house he pointed to my big belly and said that he felt her spirit in his home and that she is a special spirit and she is and we love her very much! We are so grateful that she came into our lives when she did, she is such a great help and love and comfort to all her family members. She was so funny when she was a toddler she did the silliest things, we never watched TV because she was way more entertaining with her big brown curly hair. I want you to know that you are loved and I miss you when you are not around because of your special spirit. Happy Birthday Sissy Roo!

Happy Father's Day to all the Great Father's in My Life!

This is my favorite picture of me and my dad. I am daddies little girl and always will be. I have a great and loving father who was alway there for me. He taught me how to ride my bike, built my first swing set (which I played on all the time), Took me to the Seattle Aquarium just him and I and bought me a stuffed otter that I slept with every night, He would buy me beautiful dresses at Fredrick n' Nelson's department store where he worked and would bring me my favorite chocolates home FRANGOS the mint kind. He would warn me of boys that I shouldn't hang out with, he was good at judging there character and he was always right, and he loved Sloane from the moment he met him. I loved to watch him make candies, cookies, work in his garden, watching him learn how to be a beekeeper and he was good at it. I loved boating with my dad and watching this old man waterski:) He loved to support me in all that I did in school, coming to my track meets, soccer games, choir concerts ect. He even let me go around the neighborhood selling outdated callendars when I was a little kid and I didn't know what outdated meant and he was surprised when I brought home some money(most dad's wouldn't allow that). Running up and sitting on my dad's lap when he was in the bishopbric. He had great faith in me and still does. But the best thing about my dad is that he was always so loving and he showed it often, he wasn't affraid to show his affection for his children and I am so grateful for that. Thank you dad, I have so many, many more great memories of you and I love you VERY much! Happy Father's day!

This is Sloane's Father and I love and miss him. He died when I was pregnant with Violet my fourth child. This is my favorite picture because it represents something that he loved especially because it meant he was helping others and that was what Sloane's dad was all about. He was a police officer for Tacoma Police and every year they would have a Bacon Bowl for all the officers that wanted to play football to raise money for the children's hospital and Murphy (that's his name) loved to help any way he could plus he loved to play football and he was good at it. He played and was the oldest player on the team all the way up until the year he died and then with an emotional ceremony retired his number, all the men were in tears it was very touching. In this perticular picture he was 50 years old and started that year and did often even though he was twenty years older than the other players, that's how good he was. They took this picture and put it in the paper, he broke two ribs and played the whole game, he loved this picture because he was so proud of himself for being able to prove that even though he was older he still had it in him. He was a good example of Temple attendance, he went all the time and would do many sessions at a time, he loved the temple. He was also the best hometeacher, he really cared about the people that he taught and would go out of his way to help them. He was a loving and affectionate father and I am grateful for his great example of service, love, family, and his testimony of the gospel.

Last but not least, my Honey! He's a great father and Husband. I love that he cares and loves each one of our children and treats them with kindness and cares about their spiritual welfare. I am grateful that he his affectionate and gives them lots of loves, they love that from their dad. He's funny and makes us laugh a lot! He always has great ideas to do as a family and we always have lots of fun doing them. He is good at listening to the spirit to help him be a better father. I am so grateful that our children know that it's important to him that he loves their mother and shows it, they sometimes think it's gross that he kisses me in front of them, but they don't know what it's like to be on the other side of that coin. Sloane watched his parents divorce at age six with the last big fight and Sloane hasn't forgotten it. I am so grateful that he has taken his fathers good example and made the temple important to him and hometeaching important ect. I love this fun and crazy man of mine! Happy Father's day Honey!

Our new counter bench

For some odd reason we never use our nice big beautiful dinning room table, everyone loves to congrigate in the kitchen and never leave to go sit at the table. Since some of our chairs were falling apart because we've had them for so long we decided to ask our neighbor who is a finished carpenter to come over and measure and make us a bench for our counter for all the kids to fit on and let me tell you they almost all fit! They love it and we love it too, it's sturdy and we got it for a great deal, he gave us a good neighbor deal, I guess it pays to be nice to your neighbors!:)

A Fun Last minute Get away!

We had such a great time visiting the Guthries this last weekend! Sloane BBQed in the Australian hat in the Rain! We had some yummy pies, they were so yummy! We went to watch the Joseph Smith movie in the Joseph Smith Memorial building, while Jenny watched our two youngest, A Big Thank You Jenny! Before the movie we ate at the Lion House and that was fun. I even got to stop into Bountiful and see my two uncles and aunts on our way down to Salt Lake, we love them. The kids got to ride the four wheelers, go to Cracker Barrel and get slushes and the BEST french fries EVER!! We went on our traditional date night, first we went Shopping for the Men for father's day, and of course they spent money on us too because we couldn't leave the mall without stopping in on the Big Bath and Body Works Sale! Then we went and ate at our favorite place the Blue Bird res. it is over a hundred years old with a cool old soda counter just like the olden days, they have great food but best of all they have the best Chocolate truffles. And last but not least we went and saw the movie The A-Team, it was so good we all liked it! We hung out and talked late nights, the kids helped Mike paint and they enjoyed that because they got to have a paint fight. We "Cleaned the Sinks" and the kids loved that and got real messy along with a stomach ache:) We enjoyed our last minute trip sometimes those are the best! Thanks guys!

Looky Looky at what I can do!

He's so cute when he tries to hold his own bottle and he's doing a great job at it and we are so happy that he's learning how! He's eating a lot more these days and so we can't wait until he gets good enough at it to do it all on his own!

Getting use to our family bike rides...

JR loves going for a nightly bike ride and everyone this year has something to ride and it has been so fun! We are lovin' the new park in Verona and the Bathrooms!! The best part is the new bike and ect. trail that goes around the soccer field past the new park, we are so lovin' that, great exercise and you don't have to worry about cars or crossing streets, and if you see friends out in their back yards (like Sloane did and talked their ears off) than you can wave or stop and talk. Too fun! The first night we went out Danny boy didn't like it so much he cried the entire time but the second night he didn't cry until we were going home, guess he was having too much fun (No just kiddin' he was tired!)

My Happy Helper in the Kitchen!

Shell and I tried out a new recipe and it was a hit! It's called, Ginger and broccoli chicken. It was so good except next time I will use fresh Ginger instead of powdered and I will add a little more honey to make it more similar to P.F Changs Ginger chicken, my Favorite!!! I also taught Shell how to make the rice and her daddy was impressed at how great it came out (he's picky about his rice). :) We made Steak soup tonight with homade bread, Yummy! That is my favorite soup ever, the recipe came from my childhood resturaunt that was down on the water front, right on the water, I miss that resturaunt.

Our cute Baby is Six Months Old!!

This is our little bundle of joy! It has taken six months for him to be joyful because he cryed most of the time and did all the way up until about a week ago, that was the longest six months of my life! He loves to sit in his bouncy chair and play with his rattles, toys, ect. and he smiles and laughs for anyone that walks by! He's got to dye for eyelashes they are super long and his eye's are big too, you just melt when he smiles at you. Just look at that smile! I know he's got a big mouth, he gets that from his dad, ha ha!:)
